Read-only by design
The connector can search listings and research, compare candidates, and explain stored screening signals. It cannot edit the index, run crawlers, execute SQL, or access server files.

Set this up from the web version of your AI client. You only need the server URL and the private code issued specifically to you.

nzbi_ and is sent privately.Use the Plugins area and OAuth. The exact availability of Developer mode can depend on your account or workspace policy.
Open Settings → Security and login, then enable Developer mode.
Go to the ChatGPT Plugins page and press the + button to create a new plugin connection.
Add the name and description below, choose Server URL, paste the exact /mcp URL, and select OAuth.
Tick the custom-server safety acknowledgement, then choose Create. ChatGPT will discover the server's OAuth settings.
On the NZ Business Index authorization page, enter the code sent to you, review the read-only permissions, and choose Allow read-only access.
Review the discovered tools, then add NZ Business Index from the Plugins or tools menu in a new conversation.
Remote custom connectors are supported across Claude plans; free accounts are currently limited to one custom connector.
In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors.
Choose + → Add custom connector.
Name it NZ Business Index and paste the exact server URL ending in /mcp.
Do not put your private code into OAuth Client ID or Client Secret. This server registers Claude automatically.
Choose Add, then Connect. Enter your private code on the NZ Business Index page and approve read-only access.
In a conversation use + → Connectors, then switch on NZ Business Index.
Use Streamable HTTP, the endpoint below, and standards-based OAuth discovery. The browser authorization step still requires your personal code.
Check that the URL is exactly https://hetzner-ax.tailb0521d.ts.net/mcp, including HTTPS and /mcp. Select OAuth, do not select a tunnel, and do not put the private code in the URL.
Remove or disconnect the old NZ Business Index entry, add it again, and complete the new authorization screen with your personal code.
Those Advanced settings are optional. Leave both empty. Your personal access code belongs only on the later NZ Business Index authorization page.
Codes are individual and case-sensitive. Copy the entire value, including the nzbi_ prefix. Ask the server owner to confirm that your invitation is active and has not expired or been revoked.
Start a new conversation and explicitly enable the plugin or connector. If the client cached an older schema, remove and recreate the connection so it scans the current tools.

For security, the server records the invitation label, client name, aggregate authorization/token/request counts, and last activity. The authentication layer does not store prompts, tool arguments, or conversation contents.
